After School Program Overview

General information
1.5 hour, 6-week program available Thursdays in Wilton for kids ages 5+
  • 2 clay, 4 pottery painting​​
Drop off or bus (Wilton only)​
Class size of 6-10 kids
  • Please pack your child(ren) a nut-free snack and water bottle.
    • All food must be pre-peeled and/or sliced at home. We cannot touch your child's food.​

Dates:
  • Spring 1 Program - February 27th, March 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, and April 3rd​
  • Spring 2 Program - April 10th, 17th, May 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd

Prices: listed before tax (CT tax: 6.35%), which will be applied at checkout. 
$249 per child
  • Includes all above activities and supplies.

Time: 
​4:00-5:30PM
  • Allotted time factors in bus drop offs as the bus often arrives after 4:00PM. We want to make sure there's enough time for kids to have their snacks, as well as completing that day's project.

Wilton: drop off or bus transportation directly from school (Miller Driscoll)
  • For bus transportation, directly from school: Bus registration required through the school's School Dismissal Manager

Bus transportation is available directly from schools to our studio. A Happy Hands representative will waiting for the kids at our designated bus stop.

IMPORTANT: Miller-Driscoll parents MUST use School Dismissal Manager for kids to be able to ride the bus!

Safety Protocols
​Our staff is trained on updated safety procedures, hygiene etiquette, and controls for everyone's safety.
* For Fairfield studio: Schools in Fairfield or Westport -- Please reach out to your school's PTA and contact us at [email protected]. We're happy to coordinate an after school program with them at your school 

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING to the After School Program?
​Clothing to wear:
  • Comfortable clothing
  • Sneakers (or shoes that don't come off easily, to minimize tripping hazards)
  • Scrunchie/hair tie (if the child has longer hair)

Parents should pack the following for each child:
  • Snack
  • Water Bottle

Notes:
  • ALL food must be nut-free to minimize any possible allergy exposure.
  • Any food that requires peeling or sliced (oranges, bananas, etc) must be pre-peeled and/or sliced at home. We cannot touch your child's food.
DID YOU RECEIVE MY REGISTRATION?​
Once you submit your form, a message will appear to tell you that we will typically respond (via email) within 24-48 hours of your submission.

​Anything submitted after business hours on Friday and into the weekend, will be addressed on the following Monday (or Tuesday).

If you haven't received a follow up or confirmation by then, please double check your spam folder first before reaching back out to us to double check if we have received your registration.
​IS THERE STILL SPACE AVAILABLE IN YOUR Program? ​
We make all efforts to update our website as soon as possible when we are near or at capacity, to ensure accurate availability.

However, please keep in mind that we approve registrations on a first come-first serve basis and as such, available spots may already be full by the time we get to your registration.

This may happen if we receive multiple registrations at the same time.
WHAT'S THE AGE RANGE FOR KIDS TO PARTICIPATE?
Our programs are designed for kids 4+. Most kids who attend are between the ages of 4-8. We've had older kids attend, as old as 12, though it's usually because they have a younger sibling that is also attending. 

Some groups have more younger kids (4-6), while others have more older kids (7-10). It all depends on who signs up. We always encourage kids to be signed up with their friends and/or siblings, so they know at least 1 other kid in the program. ​
​WHAT IS YOUR CANCELATION POLICY?
Cancelations must be done no later than 48 hours before the scheduled program start date, so we can potentially accommodate people on the waitlist. 
  • Proper notification: Email sent to Happy Hands ([email protected]) within 48 hours of your scheduled reservation.
  • If you call the studio to cancel or reschedule, you must email us as well.
  • You must get an email from us confirming your request to avoid miscommunications.

It is your responsibility to reach out to us if there are any changes.

Cards are charged after this window closes and no refunds will be done on late cancelations.

No refunds will be given for missed classes.

Registrations must be made by 9PM the night before the first session.
​To ensure the safety of the kids, we will not accept same-day reservations for our After School Program.

    • ​In consideration of the After school program provided by the Happy Hands Art & Pottery, LLC. facilities in which program are held, I do hereby allow my child/children listed above to participate in the  program activities and do hereby waive claim and release Happy Hands Art & Pottery LLC for claim or liability for any incident or accident occurring from my child’s participation in the art activities.
    • I authorize emergency first aid care to said child by Happy Hands Art & Pottery LLC. staff in the event he/she becomes injured or ill during the party if the parents and/or legal guardian of the child are not immediately available at the telephone numbers provided above. I further authorize Happy Hands Art  & Pottery LLC. to retain the services of a physician or other competent emergency medical persons to treat the child and I accept full financial responsibility for any charges arising from said treatment.
    • Happy Hands Art & Pottery reserves the right to use photos or videos taken at our programs and events on our website, blog, social media or in printed materials.​
